Saddleback Stool
Important: This is a Festool Hybrid Class. Please visit our Festool Hybrid Class page prior to enrolling in this class
In this “Festool Hybrid” class, each participant will make, and take home with them, a contemporary stool crafted of solid cherry. The original of this version was designed by our team member Ted Bryant, who will be the primary instructor for this class. This stool fits great under the apron of the Festool Farm table, and is the perfect height for use at a workbench, or a kitchen counter as well!
This stool is a great project for those individuals looking to expand their skills, and enter the world of compound joinery. We’ll also use pattern routing, and a number of jigs and patterns to create the stool.
Materials for this project are included in the tuition price, and will be pre milled for students by GPD, but left oversize, and will need to be cut and fit to correct size.
Participants will use Festool Domino D500’s, Kapex Miter Saws, C Drills, The CMS Router Table; Rotex and ETS sanders. We will also use bandsaws, Jointers, and tablesaw, and flush trim saws to complete this project
Finishing techniques will be reviewed but not applied during the class. Students will have the option of gluing up the stool, or leaving it dryfit for easy transport home, even on a plane.
This class is limited to only 6 students, so you’ll receive lots of instruction & personal attention!
