We have thousands of board feet of lumber to choose from while crafting your project. The only complaint we receive about lumber is “There are too many pretty boards to choose from!”

The GPD Academy bench room and machine room both feature huge 32 sq/ft windows for plenty of natural light, and a beautiful view of the Appalachian mountains

The GPD Academy bench room features a floating wood floor, providing comfortable surface to work on all day

We use Festool Kapex miter saws to rough cut stock, as well as precisely cut parts to finished lengths. GPD has 6 Kapex, 3 of which are exclusively for student use

GPD operates four SawStop cabinet saws, two of which are exclusively for use by students of GPD Academy

We have some of the finest layout and measuring tools from Woodpeckers Tools, available for students to use. And our sharpening center features Tormek, Shapton, and Norton systems – Yeah, we’ve got nice stuff for you to use!

GPD currently has 4 large bandsaws, including a vintage Laguna which is dedicated to resawing. These two Rikon saws are for the exclusive use of GPD Academy Students

Two of our Five Festool CMS router tables in use by GPDA Students. We also have Woodpecker Precision Router Lift tables with Superfences – Top Notch Tools!

This 12″ spiral head jointer, located in our main shop, is available for GPDA Students to use. The Academy has two 8″ jointers for student use as well

This SCMI MiniMax sliding panel is located in our main shop, and is available for student use. It is one of 7 table saws in our facility
