Deceptively simple in appearance, this Solid furniture piece has dual panel shiplap backing, exposed through tenon joinery at its base, and a complex lap rabbet joint detail on the door, which will humble experienced woodworkers, during its execution.
Finishing techniques will be reviewed but not applied during the class. Upon completion of the course, students will have a piece that is dry fit, together, and ready for sanding, glue up, and finishing work back at their own home shops. Or students can choose to have us complete their bookcase to our museum quality standards by taking advantage of our completion service.
